Description

BLUETTI AC Parallel Charging Cable (30A / 50A)

If you’re running two AC240 units in parallel, the standard 15A cable in the box works but it caps the combined input at around 1,800W, which means a full 3,072 Wh recharge takes roughly 4 hours. This upgrade cable does the same job in a fraction of the time by pulling from a higher-current wall outlet.

  • 30A TT-30 variant: 3,600W max input → ~1.4 hours to fully charge both AC240s
  • 50A NEMA 14-50 variant: 4,400W max input → ~1.2 hours to fully charge both AC240s
  • 50A with B210 expansion packs: 4,800W max input → ~2 hours to fully charge two AC240s plus two or more B210 batteries

For anyone using a parallel AC240 rig for home backup, jobsite power, or event supply, that’s the difference between “plug it in overnight” and “plug it in over lunch.”

Which variant do you need?

The two variants take different physical plugs. Match the cable to the outlet you actually have access to:

Variant Wall plug Where you’ll find it Max input Charge time (2× AC240)
30A AC Parallel Charging Cable TT-30 (3-prong, 30A/120V) Standard RV park pedestals, some workshops 3,600 W ~1.4 hours
50A AC Parallel Charging Cable NEMA 14-50 (4-prong, 50A/240V) Larger RV pedestals, EV charging stations, high-draw appliance outlets (electric range, dryer) 4,400 W (2× AC240) / 4,800 W (2× AC240 + B210s) ~1.2 hours / ~2 hours

If you’re not sure which outlet you have, look at the shape and count the pins. TT-30 has three round pins in a triangular pattern. NEMA 14-50 has four rectangular pins in an L-shape. They’re not interchangeable and don’t accept adapters safely at this power level.

What you need before this cable will work

This cable is a speciality upgrade for a specific setup. It only works if you already have:

  1. Two BLUETTI AC240 (or AC240P) power stations — this cable is compatible with AC240 only, not any other BLUETTI model
  2. A BLUETTI P480A Parallel Box — required for parallel operation and sold separately
  3. Access to a matching wall outlet — TT-30 or NEMA 14-50, depending on the cable variant you choose

If any of those three are missing, this cable won’t do anything for you. The AC240 alone doesn’t support parallel operation without the P480A, and the P480A comes with a 15A cable already — so you’re only buying this if you want faster charging on that specific rig.

Why parallel AC240 setups exist

Two AC240s connected through the P480A behave as a single 4,800 W / 120 V power source, with the parallel box automatically balancing load and capacity between the two units. That output is enough to run heavier draw devices air conditioners, well pumps, welders, high-draw power tools that a single 2,400 W AC240 can’t handle on its own.

Typical scenarios where this cable earns its cost:

  • Whole-house backup during grid outages — top up the system quickly during brief utility restorations
  • Jobsite power — swap out fully-charged units at lunch instead of waiting until end of day
  • RV and off-grid living — pull the maximum from a shore power hookup in the shortest possible window
  • Event and pop-up commercial use — recharge between setups without downtime

Setup what actually happens in what order

  1. Connect the two AC240s to the P480A Parallel Box using the parallel connection cables (included with the P480A).
  2. Plug the wall end of this cable into your TT-30 or NEMA 14-50 outlet.
  3. Plug the other two ends of the cable into the AC charging inputs on each AC240. The cable splits the input current between both units.
  4. Turn on both AC240s. They’ll automatically detect the higher-current input and switch to fast-charge mode.
  5. The P480A intelligently balances the charge between both units — no manual adjustment or app control needed.

Important safety note from BLUETTI: If the parallel charging cable disconnects during use, both AC240 units will shut down automatically as a protective measure. Keep the connection secure while charging.

Notes and limits

  • AC240 / AC240P compatibility only. Not for AC200L, AC300, AC500, EP500 Pro, or any other BLUETTI model. Other units have their own dedicated cables.
  • P480A is a hard requirement. Without it, parallel charging isn’t possible the P480A is what makes the two AC240s behave as one system.
  • Circuit rating matters. A 30A cable needs to be plugged into a properly-wired 30A circuit; likewise 50A into a 50A circuit. Do not use adapters to step down or up from the rated capacity.
  • UPS mode is fixed while paralleled. Once two AC240s are paralleled, they default to Standard UPS mode and can’t be switched to other UPS modes.
